Alastor is described as a dual man. He has a reputation for being narcissistic and doesn't see many people as his equal. However, that doesn't make him reckless. Despite being extremely powerful, Alastor is aware that there are other demons and entities that rival him in terms of power, such as other Overlords. For this reason, he is cautious around them, as they could be harmed if he isn't careful.

Despite everything, Alastor genuinely seems to want to help Charlie run the Happy Hotel, even if it is for his own amusement, and expects his failure.
