Mimikyu is a Ghost/Fairy type Pokémon introduced in the seventh generation.

Mimikyu is a small Pokémon whose body is almost entirely covered by a sack; its small black eyes can be seen through holes in the costume on its belly. The rest of its body is black. The costume resembles a Pikachu, made of pale yellow fabric with black pointed ears, and its face is drawn with colorful paint in a rather childish style. The painted eyes are black and scribbled, as are the dark orange blushes, and its mouth is poorly drawn in a zigzag pattern.

Mimikyu spends its entire life hidden under a scribbled sack, mimicking a Pikachu and using a stick for a tail. Its sack is dark yellow with slightly crooked ears tipped with black. To attack, it can extend its dark claw from beneath the fabric. Its claws are also visible as shadows under the disguise as it walks. Legend says that anyone who sees its true form will suffer a rare illness, which is why in Alola, people are convinced that you should never try to look under its sack; in fact, the researcher who discovered this Pokémon died of a heart attack after peering under its hood. Mimikyu's health is also affected by sunlight, so it prefers to stay in dark places. It is said that it covers itself with a sack precisely to avoid sunlight.
