Choi Seung-Hyun (T.O.P, BIGBANG)

Choi Seung-hyun (born November 4, 1987), better known by his stage name T.O.P, is a South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor who rose to fame in the mid-2000s as one of two rappers in the hip hop boy band Big Bang.

Now ex member of Big Bang working on his own solo projects. Is a young man in his early 30's.

During his childhood, T.O.P said that he was rebellious and found it hard to study in school. Has a strong relationship with his mother.

Is protective to those people whom he loves and will always put them first over himself.

Later, when YG was looking for members for his new boy band (who would later become Big Bang), Jiyong contacted Seunghyun again and they recorded demos together, sending them to the CEO of YG entertainment, Yang Hyun Suk. YG called him in for an audition but rejected him as he was deemed ‘too chubby’ for the image of an idol. Because Seunghyun wanted to join YG so badly, he reportedly lost 20kg in only 40 days. He returned again to audition and was accepted into YG. When Seunghyun joined YG entertainment, YG couldn’t decide what name to give him. He suggested that he should be called Mark after his favourite guitarist, but Se7en suggested the name ‘T.O.P’ and so that was chosen to be his stage name.

Choi Seunghyun had a decent childhood. He was raised in a middle class family. Being the first and only son his parents would have, he always made sure he didn’t disappoint them. Seunghyun was the best child parents would wish for. He did excellent in school, participated in a lot of extracurricular activities including being athletic with soccer. Art was also a great talent he picked up by practicing by himself after he finished his homework. Seunghyun also had a great personal connection with his father. He was the world to him however, when his parents decided on a divorce, ten year old Seunghyun and his three year old sister were impacted by this. His mother would set off to work right after Seunghyun got home from school, so he would have to babysit not only himself, but his sister as well. This made him grow up way before he had to, making him a serious type of child. Internally he struggled with finding happiness and having a fun filled childhood. Being the only ‘man’ in the house, Seunghyun felt as if he had to be the strongest for the two women in his life after his parents divorced.

Seunghyun is more of the shy type I guess you could say. However, once he feels comfortable with who he is talking to, watch out. Seunghyun is a funny outgoing person once he gets to know you. Although having trust issues before, he will tends to eventually open up to you if he really likes your personality.  He also tends to be a really sarcastic bastard sometimes. Its his way of breaking the ice and trying to see if a person can take his jokes. Overall, Seunghyun can be a great guy, you just have to be gentle with him at first.

Can seem to be a bit too serious at times. Putting some people off.
