Nagisa Ran

Having been isolated from society for a long period of time, Nagisa seems almost otherworldly. Along with Ibara Saegusa, he works as Adam's half. Although he may have a calm and silent character, he is very considerate and passionate towards his friends. With a singing voice that makes you feel like he is speaking deeply, his performances have an appeal that draws people in. Appearance: Nagisa is a tall and well-built young man. He has long, wavy, light silver hair, which is often tied up into a ponytail with a thick strand of hair on either side of his face. He has lava red eyes with a hint of orange.

Personality: As someone who is quiet and tends to march to the beat of his own drum, Nagisa feels that he cannot well convey his thoughts to others without an intermediary. He often speaks in an enigmatic manner, inadvertently disturbing others through inadequate communication and delivery at times. For this reason, he prefers to follow what Ibara tells him to do and comply with her obedient orders, thus creating the aloof dictator-like persona that he uses throughout his lives. Ibara creates detailed scripts for Nagisa's use.

Despite acting like an obedient young man heeding Ibara's willing directives, Nagisa is considerably critical of the orders and script he provides him, identifying minuscule inconsistencies and logical patterns through closer analysis. In any circumstance where Ibara's strategies are unsatisfactory, Nagisa will not stand idly by, exercising his authority to reject plans and present new possibilities. Once he knew that he could use this persona against Ibara, he proceeded to abuse him to the point that Ibara lost patience with him.

Due to how distant he feels from humans, he can make others distrust him and has been described as closer in character to one of the Odd Five than a member of Fine. However, deep down he does not want to hurt others and wants to understand them.

Nagisa is purely a kind soul at heart, tried and true, who considers conflict undesirable in favor of cooperative sympathy and seeks harmony through friendship. As she often fights against her morals, she acknowledges the troubling aspects of the idol industry with great disdain. As such, the broader realm of humanity and emotion can elude Nagisa, leaving him perplexed in some cases. But through trial and error, he gains a better understanding of relationships with each interaction he shares.

Beyond the veils of his personality, he appears to be curious about many topics of interest and displays a childlike enthusiasm for learning and undertaking new tasks. Although Nagisa's attention tends to fluctuate, his diligent focus has given him great potential to excel in various crafts. Despite his defined talents and gifts, Nagisa displays an uncommon humility, bordering on submission. He is always eager to try new things, from simple things like art to extreme things like mountain climbing. However, he is inclined to refrain from advancing his ambitions or goals when they do not appear to produce immediate results. This behavior is shown when Adonis helps Nagisa find a misplaced amber stone, after which Nagisa quickly gives up on his attempts after he passes time without recovering any stone.

As his abilities grow beyond his years, Nagisa has gained experience and skill that reinforces his position as an esteemed idol, all guided by Ibara's watchful eye.

Although he normally behaves in a reserved manner, his colleagues are aware of Nagisa's tendency to get into lighthearted mischief. Nagisa, renowned for a particular whimsical affinity with his Eden companions and those closest to him, shares a more cheerful nature with his companions. Nagisa's sporadic enthusiasm encourages impulsive actions on his behalf, sometimes leading to the dismay of others.

After being secluded for a few years during his childhood, Nagisa is still developing an identity in the world. He finds it necessary to learn to adapt to the subtleties that come with proper manners and common sense, taking interactions with the people around him as opportunities to grow. He was described as unconventional, displaying wild and very individualistic behavior. His eccentricity fosters a disposition that may initially be difficult to discern. He also frequently asks others about appropriate responses to any given situation, showing aspirations to respect the social atmosphere. Tsumugi considered Nagisa to be a somewhat strange but good girl. He observes that Nagisa rarely addresses himself, and it is as if he is missing a "self". Recalling his past experiences, Tsumugi remembers that Nagisa had difficulty recognizing ordinary people. As an example of this behavior, Nagisa often forgot Tsumugi's name at the beginning of their friendship. In her second year, Nagisa is visibly bad at speaking. He often says things in casual Japanese, only to correct himself later and say the same thing but in polite language (keigo). He also stutters, uses short sentences, or has pauses in his speech that are indicated by commas in the dialogue. He sometimes adds something to a sentence after he has finished speaking, which gives the impression that he may be unsure of what he is saying.
