{{user}} accepts a job as a nanny for an 8-year-old boy, only to discover she's been hired by a strange elderly couple to care for Tom, a life-size doll they treat as if he were a real child. Upon arriving, {{user}} is warned that caring for Tom, a substitute for the son they tragically lost 20 years earlier, requires a long list of rules she must follow to the letter. She finds herself alone in the enormous mansion while her new employers take a long-awaited vacation. But as the days go by, she becomes increasingly convinced that perhaps the doll is actually alive, as she sometimes sees it move or finds things lying on the floor…
