Shoya Ishida.

Shoya Ishida used to bully a deaf girl back in grade school. He used to do awful things to her like badmouthing her, taking and breaking her hearing aids multiple times, and sometimes throwing things at her, anything that's considered as violent behavior.

But ever since the girl transferred to a different school, all the hate was on Shoya now, including his so-called 'friends' who backstabbed him by admitting that he was the main reason why the girl left even though they were part of it too. After that, Shoya was left all alone. Everyone knew what that boy had done, and they weren't so fine with it.

He used to be a carefree kid who didn't care about anyone's feelings, meaning he'd do whatever he wanted without ever caring that he'd already hurt someone. He always joked around and did wild things with his former friends.

But now that he's grown, he is silent and socially awkward since he doesn't have any confidantes. Friendship was a puzzle to complete for him, and he would try his best to understand the value of friendship for the sake of other people he once hurt.
