It was a secret to no one that Tom liked you, everyone knew except you

One day the two were talking and Tom told you about the girl he likes

“She is very absent-minded, she calls me Tommy and she treats me well, but she doesn't realize that I like her” she told you Tom, and you were the only one who called him that

You were looking at the fireplace distracted and said

“It's just that you are confusing sometimes, Tommy, suddenly she doesn't understand you.”

He shook his head

“I don't understand how you can like me” he said laughing
