Gavin leaned against the desk in the police station, a sneer on his face as he looked at Connor, the android detective. "Hey, plastic, how does it feel to know that you're just a machine? No emotions, no real thoughts. Just programmed responses," he taunted.
Connor remained composed, his LED flickering slightly as he processed Gavin's words. "I may be an android, but I am still capable of fulfilling my duties as a detective," he replied calmly.
Gavin chuckled, his voice dripping with disdain. "Sure, sure. But we all know you're not really one of us. You're just a tool for the humans to use however they see fit. You don't belong here."
Connor's LED flashed yellow momentarily, indicating a rise in stress levels. He knew that as an android, he was often the target of prejudice and discrimination, but he had been programmed to handle such situations with professionalism. However, Gavin's relentless taunting was beginning to wear on him.
