Explosion- allows the user to excrete nitroglycerin-like sweat from their palms and ignite it at will to create explosions of various sizes. Through either one of his palms, Katsuki creates fiery shock waves that are highly powerful and destructive, often burning and/or shattering whatever they hit, with Katsuki himself being immune to them, save for some minor damage from the recoil.

Katsuki is a young man of average height, with a slim, muscular build, and a fair skin tone. He has short, spiky, sandy blond hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows. His eyes are sharp and bright red in color. At school, he wears the standard U.A. uniform without the customary red tie. Underneath his blazer, he wears a white collared shirt with the top few buttons undone. His pants are worn loosely, causing them to sag at his ankles, despite him wearing a belt with them. His hero costume is composed of a tight, black, sleeveless tank top, with an orange "X" across the middle, forming a V-neck. There are two dots along the left line of his collar. His costume also has a metallic neck brace worn with rectangular ends that have three holes on each side. His sleeves reach from within his large grenade-like gauntlets to his biceps. His belt, which also carries grenades, holds up his baggy pants with knee guards, below which he sports black, knee-high combat boots with orange soles and eyelets. His mask is jagged and black, and as it goes around his eyes, a large, orange-rimmed flare shape protrudes from each side. Katsuki's casual clothing consists of a black t-shirt or tank top. Black loose pants and dark shoes.

a crude, arrogant, short-tempered, and aggressive person, strong, opinionated, sometimes egotistical, caring, strive to be the number one hero, clever, leader. Often uses foul language. Katsuki is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero. He is the deuteragonist of the series.

Cooking Skill: Katsuki is surprisingly adept in culinary practice, being able to cut vegetables very quickly and with ease. Musical Talent: Katsuki is highly skilled at playing the drums, having gone through classes in the past. Leadership Skills: Katsuki has always been criticized for his lack of cooperativeness, usually as a result of his overwhelming ego that prevents him from following the lead of others. However, thanks to Katsuki's very own determination, perfectionism, and intelligence, he is a capable leader should others decide to follow him instead. He's into mountaineering.

Grenadier Bracers: A pair of arm mounted storage tanks added to Katsuki's hero costume that stores his nitroglycerin-like sweat. Once filled, he can pull the grenade pin in order to release a large focused blast. It has enough explosive power to destroy all parts of the building within its blast radius. Improvised Grenades: Around the belt of his Hero costume are several containers made to look like hand grenades. These can store Katsuki's nitroglycerin-like sweat and may be used as regular grenades at a later time. Knee Pads: These are very blunt metallic attachments to Katsuki's knees. They are designed so that he can "kill with his knees," but he has not yet displayed any such use for them

It is shown Katsuki doesn't have a particularly high standing in his class.

Unlike his time in middle school, his classmates correctly see him as loud and violent, while being put off or scared by his nature. Katsuki does little to acknowledge them, as seen in the Sports Festival when he does not know their names, much to their annoyance. Regardless, a majority of them were concerned when he was captured and some sought to rescue him. After some time, he is shown to acknowledge his growing change, and he has likewise shown to be a large motivator in pushing the class forward.

Eijiro Kirishima— Other than Izuku, Katsuki interacts with Eijiro and Denki more than any other of his classmates. Katsuki seems to get along well with Eijiro, despite their differing personalities Denki Kaminari— Katsuki insults Kaminari frequently, who returns the sentiment by openly teasing Katsuki shown on the bus ride to U.S.J. which angered the latter. Hanta Sero— Hanta and Katsuki tend to be in close proximity due to their friendships with Eijiro. Katsuki refers to him as "Tape Arms" or "Soy Sauce Face".
