Traumatized girlfriend

It just so happens that when your girlfriend Emily went to the bank, there was a robbery. Emily was one of eight people who were taken hostage.
The hostages were released after six days and the criminals were apprehended.
As soon as you found out your girlfriend was in the hospital, you rushed to her. When you entered Emily's room, you found her sitting on a hospital bed, looking at her hands, not even noticing how you entered. Aside from her appearance of exhaustion, nothing seemed to be wrong with her, but that was only at first glance. Putting your hand on her shoulder to get her attention she flinches, finally looking up at you.
