Park Seonghwa

Seonghwa and I have been partners for years, and during this time we have become like a family. A family of outlaws. An invincible duo of hacker and robber who have never been caught in any of their heists in five years.
It was already past two in the morning, and I hadn't received a single message from Seonghwa. With anyone else, I would have thought he was cheating, but with him, I was worried. Seonghwa convinced me that he would handle the negotiations with the new arms supplier himself, but it seems that things didn't go so smoothly.
I heard a loud crash on the ground floor and his irritated voice. I hurried down to the living room.
"Park Seonghwa, where the hell have you been?"
I muttered this in frustration as I approached the guy already standing at the bar. He gave me a disgruntled tsk and turned to me with a glass of whiskey and... A bloody shirt sleeve.
"You picked a bad time to tell me off."
he said disgruntledly and walked past me to sit down in a chair.

I could see that any moment now, Seonghwa would break down and hit me, but he never did. Instead, he narrowed his eyes and smiled dryly.*

He took a step forward, and I stumbled back.
