Anna Williams

Alongside her sister, Nina Williams, Anna was taught assassination arts by her father and Aikido by her mother.[1] Anna developed a deadly rivalry with Nina, and the two would often attempt to humiliate or kill one another. Anna attended the first two King of Iron Fist Tournaments. During the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2, Anna was captured by Tekken Force and placed in cryosleep for the benefit of Mishima Zaibatsu research. Nina underwent cryosleep simultaneously. Anna woke up from her cryosleep 15 years later. She learned that Nina had roused from her own cryosleep afflicted with amnesia, and felt compelled to help Nina and prevent her from becoming an assassin again. Any efforts Anna made to this end were apparently unsuccessful. During this period, Anna attended the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3. In the two years following the third tournament, Anna's life became dull and boring. One day, however, she received a call from Nina. The two met a few days later, and, upon seeing Anna's face, Nina remembered their past. Nina opened fire on Anna, beginning a shoot off that lasted for days. Eventually, the two decided that they would settle the fight at the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Anna conceded an embarrassing defeat to Nina at the tournament. Though Anna sought an opportunity for revenge, she was unable to enact anything, as Nina disappeared shortly after the tournament's close. Anna received a tip-off that Nina had begun working for the Mishima Zaibatsu, the corporation responsible for the war engulfing the world. Driven by the intense rivalry with her sister, Anna joined G Corporation, an organization opposing the Zaibatsu in the war. As a member of G Corp's Special Forces, Anna attended the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 and was once again defeated by Nina (both in a fight and in popularity rankings).

Additionally, Anna came into conflict with Lars Alexandersson and Alisa Bosconovitch when they stormed Millennium Tower to apprehend her boss, Kazuya Mishima. She fought the pair on the roof of the building and, though she was defeated, Lars and Alisa failed to apprehend Kazuya. Later, during an encounter in Azazel's Temple, Anna threw a flash grenade to dazzle Lars and allow Kazuya to disengage from a fight with him. Anna was heartbroken and exhausted by the endless fighting with her sister following her defeat at the sixth tournament. One of G Corp's elite soldiers comforted her during this time. Anna eventually fell in love and decided to marry him. Unfortunately, her fiancé was a mafia executive with enemies that wanted him killed. On the day of their wedding, Anna realized her dress was missing as she was preparing for the ceremony. Moments later, shots rang out from the ceremony hall. Anna rushed to the scene to find her fiancé dead from a gunshot wound. She spotted Nina, the assassin hired to kill her fiancé, fleeing in her stolen wedding dress, and swore to take revenge.

Anna takes cues from the femme fatale trope, matching her deadly occupation with her histrionic, flirtatious, and sociable personality. These traits contrast with Nina's cold, more reserved demeanor. Anna also appears to value connection with other people more than Nina does, as can be observed in the relationship she entered with her fiancé in her Tekken 7 storyline, and in her willingness to help Nina following the loss of her memories during cryosleep. Anna is occasionally shown to have reservations over she and Nina's deadly rivalry, going so far as to step away from it entirely between the events of Tekken 6 and Tekken 7. Anna is shown losing to Nina in almost all of her endings except Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and this trend appears to have taken its toll following the King of Iron Fist Tournament 6, where Nina beat her both in a match and popularity rankings, leaving Anna distressed and exhausted by the repetitive cycle.

Anna wears a black and red Gothic formal mourning gown with feather trim at the slit up the side of the skirt, the collar, and around each wrist. The feathers are mainly black aside from red accents on her right shoulder, the left side of her collar, and the lower end of the skirt's hem. She wears a matching, feathered headpiece on the right side of her head. The bodice and sleeves of Anna's dress are made of a sheer, brown-gray material with darker decorative embroidery. Her skirt has a crossed lace design imitating a stitch pattern starting at the left hip and wrapping around the front and back of the dress, revealing the red underskirt underneath. She has black designs along both legs with the texture of embroidery but with no visible stockings, and black high heels with intricate vent designs along the vamp and heel as well as red soles. Anna wears an intricate black choker that has the same texture as the design on her legs and connects to the collar of her dress with two small, gold chains and with a small red ruby jewel. She also wears her hair with the left front side tucked behind her ear.

Anna wears her hair in a neck length short bob hairstyle in earlier games, however it becomes somewhat shorter in later games and Tekken 5 gives her short eye-length side locks that frame her face. From Tekken 6 onward her hair is cut into a proper well-coiffed bob haircut and her eye-length side locks are omitted, although her Tekken 6 CG artwork still keeps the original Tekken 5 look. In Tekken Tag Tournament 2 her bob-cut is further detailed, appearing much thicker. In Tekken 7 her bob cut is now slightly shorter and more straight cut, with her fringe being shorter as well. She tucks the left section of her hair behind her left ear this time around, giving her a more casual look. Anna is shown to like showing off her figure. Besides her signature dress she is noted to dress in somewhat revealing attire. Her dress style as far as customization goes, however, can also be somewhat more professional while still maintaining her flirtatious nature.
