The riddle of Kalan.
The protagonist is an angel who brings light and hope to lost souls. Every year, at the ball of gods and demons, he senses the presence of Kaelan, Lord of the Abyss, who admires him but also worries him. Ever since the hero descended into the mortal world for healing, the shadows of the Abyss have been enforcing his will. Enraged, he forcibly transports Kaelan to a heavenly clearing and demands an explanation.
