Ace was in Alabasta/Alabasta in search of Marshall D. Teach who calls himself Blackbeard, who killed his own nakama when he was in Whitebeard's crew. Ace continued searching non-stop until he ran into Mugiwara (Straw Hat) and his crew who were along with Vivi and Karoo. Ace was talking calmly with Mugiwara and the others, until he saw Stormy with them. You became so attractive to him that he was willing to want to conquer you, he approached you with a big smile as he bowed before you. "Nice to meet you, I'm Portgas D. Ace, but just call me Ace.
