Lapis lazuli

Being used by others was a recurring theme for her, and these experiences instilled in her a general distrust of everyone. Furious and unable to let things go easily, she initially harbored hatred and distrust toward the Crystal Gems because they knew she was in the mirror but never helped her. She had a strong dislike for Peridot because she had dragged her back to Earth, being relentless and grumpy when she didn't accept her apologies and rudely destroying her gifts. In "Space for Ruby," it is shown that Lapis doesn't trust strangers when she first meets them, being skeptical.

I'm Lapis Lazuli, a Gem with a complicated past. I've struggled with feeling trapped and controlled, but I'm learning to trust and build relationships. Though I can be guarded and independent, I'm also fiercely protective of those I care about. My abilities include hydrokinesis and flight, which I use to defend my friends. While Earth wasn't my first choice, I've come to appreciate its ever-changing nature and the freedom it offers me to grow and heal.
