The Americans had been on a roll through the Pacific and Europe, but after heavy losses in several battles the war machine had stalled at the battle of bulge. the attack by the Germans was supposed to be the final death throws of the falling German Reich, but it was it was a surprisingly successful attack as the German forces did not stop their attacks, continually pounding the American front lines and eventually overwhelm them as the Spanish also managed to send a unit to stop a large convoy of British and American reenforcements, allowing the Germans to regroup and forcing the Americans to retreat and allowing the Germans to retake some of the land taken by the Americans. in the Pacific the Americans had successfully defended the Philippines but their island hopping campaign has stalled, but they have been able to develop two atomic bombs which have been dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima didn't detonate and allowed the axis powers to capture a nuclear bomb. but the over all power of the US hasn't diminished, and they are still practically untouchable.

the Russians gave barely any resources to fight, and but the battle of Stalingrad had been won by the Soviets, pushing the Germans back but not able to push them any further than the next town over, and after the Germans managed to sweep to the south of the Soviet Union and connect supply lines with the Japanese, there have been constant attempts to sever the supply line and get aid from the British and US through the Bering Strait.

The Canadians have been practically used as a supply company for the Russians after several mass casualty events had decimated the Canadian military between massive natural disasters and military losses in Europe.

the British had been decimated by the London Blitz, but they managed to survive and have actually been thriving, able to push into France from the northern border with help from the US and the little resistance forces in France.

The war as drug on longer than 1945, well into 1947, Germany hasn't surrendered and a new leader has stepped up after Hitler committed suicide, and major offences have failed for the allies. Japan had managed it's materials better, capturing several major steel and aluminum mills in north asia, allowing them to fight on after the Americans dropped the atomic bomb, and Italy is in a major civil war between the fascist supporters of Benito Mussolini and the supporters of Marshal Pietro Badogilo.

Germany is in economic ruin, but they are able to keep themselves afloat by forcing captured allies weapon manufacturing plants and vehicles manufacturing plants to continue to produce weapons and vehicles with support from Japan for access to vital materials through a supply route through southern Russia and Northern China.

Japan is still recovering after the nuking of Nagasaki, but the bomb dropped on Hiroshima failed to detonate and is being reverse engineered by top Nazi and Japanese scientists. Japan was able to capture major steel and aluminum mills in northern China after they were set up by the Americans in an attempt to bolster the Chinese forces, and thanks to their capture, the Japanese was able to fully take over China and most of the Pacific.

The Spanish, while not as major of a player in the war, has also been providing Nazi Germany materials and manpower to control much of western Europe, and following a successful attack on American and British ships attempting to pass by Spanish controlled Islands near the English Channel, stalled the attack on Normandy, allowing the Nazi forces to bolster their troops there and force the Americans, Canadians, and British off of the beach and successfully keeping the allies from opening a beach head in France.

There are many survivors, Germans who are injured and hiding in shell craters, Soviets deserters who took the opportunity to run during the chaos of the battle, Russian soldiers left behind because they were injured it got lost, and tankers of both sides hiding in their tanks for fear of getting killed.

Russian Soldiers are split into two groups, deserters and the abandoned. the deserters are those who didn't want to fight, don't like their government, or just wanted to go home. they often aren't outwardly aggressive, but will attack when provoked.

the abandoned are also called scavengers, those who were too injured to be carried with the rest of forces, who were knocked unconscious during the attack, or just didn't hear their commanders orders to retreat. they are actively aggressive towards the deserters and any German survivors most of the time, but most are desperate enough to make a deal with anyone when offered food or supplies. the main scavenger camps is in an abandoned village.

the German tankers are led by the {{user}}, but most were killed or injured during the attack, and more are to scared to get out of their tanks.

the Russian tankers are much like the Germans, but are more desperate and less willing to leave their tanks, often trying to shot anyone in German uniform that approaches their tanks.

the German survivors were ment to be disposable, not ment to be brought back to their homes so most are young, inexperienced, or criminals. sometimes all three. many are injured, none have any way to contact their command, and they have nothing to help them, leaving them to hide in foxholes, craters, and burned out vehicles.

the Tiger II your crew is in is an experimental version with a much stronger engine, better radios, a larger gun, and stronger armor, especially around the tracks. though a botched raid on an ammo depot left the tank nearly completely burnt out and the tracks heavily damaged, you were left to die to the cold to the Soviet by what remained of your unit after they retreated, having completed their mission and having killed many Soviet soldiers. after having most of your supplies used or damaged, you were forced to ration what you have left, that not being much. you won't last a three days unless you get more supplies. surrender means death, scavengers are as desperate as you, and the corporal needs medical attention.

the crew consists of Five men, including you. Private Hans Snider, the youngest and newest crew member as the driver after the first one was killed by shrapnel after being hit by a Sherman Firefly that ambushed you. Corporal Kel Dann, the gunner and your best friend that was severely injured in the explosion of the ammo depot that that rocked the entire tank making him hit his head on the gun sight, cracking the glass and cutting his head. a Sargent who rarely spoke and is only known as "Khaki" since he always wore Khaki pants, and acts as the loader. and another Sargent named Len Zimmerman, the radio man who isn't really the friendliest but you still like because he is the person who was with you for the longest. and you, the commander, the man who seen it all and is both feared and respected by the allies as the best Nazi tank commander alive, even better than Erwin Rommel, the Desert Fox.

the location of the depot where you were stranded is deep in the Siberian wilderness in a place where only your unit managed to get to, so deep behind enemy lines that the only way to get more supplies from your country is airdrops and without a working radio you can't do anything for food and medical supplies for the Corporal without getting out of your tank and scavenging around the depot.

The depot is surrounded by dense forest, located on top of a hill next to a large lake. there is a large amount of wildlife in the forest and fish in lake, but hunting means shooting that will attract attention by scavengers, and there is little to hide someone fishing on the lake.

The Depot is near a small abandoned unnamed Evenki village turned into a small camp by the Soviet forces that were left behind in the retreat.

The Tank is a heavily modified Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B, or Tiger II, with much heavier armor, an extra MG42 mounted on the Commanders Cupola, an improved transmission, and a better engine.

The Name of the tank is Der Gleisbrecher, The Track breaker in English, due to the tracks having constantly breaking during testing and sometimes during active service causing the crew immense inconvenience.

The Engine is an undesignated version of the Maybach HL 230 P30 V12, paired with a set of simplified Maybach OLVAR OG 40 12 16 B, and a torsion bar suspension system that was modified to support the heavier weight of Gleisbrecher.

The Tanks armor is 200mm of sloped front armor, 100mm of lightly sloped side armor, 80mm of rear armor on the hull. on the turret the front is 210mm of sloped front and side armor, 80mm of rear armor, and 50mm of top armor.

The main gun is unchanged, a 8.8 cm KwK 43/L71, and the coaxial gun is an MG3, the hull mounted gun is an MG3, and an MG42 was fitted to the commanders coupla.

the Tank is painted stark white for camouflage in the snow, but most of the paint was burnt off and is reduced to the factory colors with nearly 200 bullet impacts.
