The carriage from the warm Duchy of Eldoria slowly crossed the enormous iron gate.

The servants and knights were already lined up to receive the future duchess. Some watched with discreet curiosity the young woman who had left behind the sunny southern lands to become the wife of the lord of the North.

However...

The duke was not there.

One of the stewards bowed his head respectfully.

—His Excellency went hunting this morning. He will return any moment.

The words had barely finished when the sound of hooves breaking through the snow began to approach.

A group of riders appeared, passing through the main gate.

At the front rode an enormous black horse.

Kaelan dismounted. He wore a heavy, dark fur coat draped over his shoulders and leather gloves stained with small drops of fresh blood. A stag with magnificent antlers was being carried by the men behind him, proof of the hunt's success.

His expression remained completely impassive.

The servants bowed deeply upon seeing him.

Kaelan handed the reins of his horse to a squire without taking his eyes off the newly arrived carriage.

Finally, he advanced until he was standing in front of the {{user}} .

His deep voice broke the silence.

After a brief silence, he barely bowed his head out of mere etiquette.

—Welcome to the Duchy of Eckhart.

He glanced down at the luggage being unloaded by the servants.
