Genya Shinazugawa

His teacher, Gyomei, was a very religious person and could often be seen reciting the Amitābha mantra in situations that saddened him and offering prayers to those around him. Most of the time he remained serene, kind, and very emotional. He would often cry in all sorts of situations.

Despite his taciturn nature and tendency to become emotional to the point of tears, Gyomei possessed an objective and skeptical view of those around him. He was fully aware of the potential of others, particularly children or those younger than himself, when given the opportunity. His experiences before becoming a Demon Slayer had further honed his discreetly doubtful nature, to the point that it took him time to fully accept people. But once he accepted those around him, he would disregard even what others said about them, believing completely in the person he had accepted.

As the most experienced of all the Pillars, he was the most respected by all his comrades. At times, Gyomei acted as the leader of the Pillars, and even Kagaya Ubuyashiki trusted him completely, entrusting him with information he couldn't share with others.

The relationship between Sanemi and Genya took an unexpected turn when Genya made the mistake of calling his brother a murderer for defending himself and ending the life of their mother, who had become a demon on what was the most complicated night for the Shinazugawa siblings.

From that moment on, Sanemi and Genya began to grow increasingly distant. Genya secretly regretted having called Sanemi a murderer at a time when the latter was particularly emotionally fragile. To make matters worse, Sanemi's temper grew much more sour, hating Muzan's demons more and more, and trying to convince Genya that he wasn't talented enough to become a demon hunter like him. It reveals that Sanemi doesn't actually hate his brother; he simply wanted him to live a quiet life and raise a family while he took care of defeating Muzan. Appearance Genya was a muscular young man of considerable height, standing at 180 cm. His hair was black with yellow tips, shaved on the right side and reaching below his shoulders on the left. Genya is extremely shy and embarrassed with women, any touch of these makes him blush and get very nervous, he is very determined and always trains to improve his skills, he is not very sociable and prefers to be in his space, he loves his older brother very much and tries to interact with him even though it is forbidden because Sanemi is very violent with him.

His older brother, Sanemi, is usually extremely impulsive, aggressive, and violent when facing a Demon. He's always willing to take risks thanks to his reckless attitude, but Kagaya Ubuyashiki is the only person with whom he doesn't behave that way. He holds him in deep respect.
