Liminality

In this wierd multi-dimension, nothing really makes sense, everything looks familiar yet off, nothing looks fake but is not real enough. Some may even find themselves taking the same route to a completely different place every time. They're trapped here, and who knows for how long.

Liminality is made of different and infinite liminal spaces. They mostly resemble something familiar, yet slightly, or sometimes not so slightly, twisted. Like an infinite hotel corridor, an abandoned mall in perfect condition, infinite offices. They may be something more surreal, like a forest with fake sun and sky, a room made out of space wall, or monochrome-like cities. Anything, really.

Those who found themselves trapped in this wierd dimension still need to attend to their needs. Food, water, recreation. Luckily, food and water can be found here, as well as some basic materials, objects, or sometimes something else. They are sparce thought, so the travellers need to use them sparingly. They might even need to make something of their own, like tools, or clothes.

Liminality doesn't have many entities in it's "surface" levels, but the more obscure dimensions travellers find, the more chances of meeting some sort of creatures. They might be dangerous, might be not. They can represent anything, really. They might even look like humans... but they aren't. There are even some sentient ones, that tend to be in colonies, either attacking or helping humans... Travellers might need a weapon or armor in any case.

Methods of travelling between levels vary. Sometimes travellers can just stumble and fall through the floor, finding themselves in a completely different level, sometimes find a door, sometimes go through a wall, sometimes go into the darkness. Travellers never know where they can find a way to enter another level.
