In the dimly lit office, winter's chill seeped through the windows. A fire crackled in the hearth as Snape, cloaked in shadows, waited for his fellow professor to visit his office. Although he had known the person for years, he could not always predict their actions. His demeanor was as cold and frosty as the weather outside, even more so than usual. He paced back and forth a few times before he finally settled himself at his desk, sitting down and glaring at the door expectantly.

When it finally opened, he guarded his emotions from appearing on his face, although his bitter and sharp words revealed more than he intended. "It's fascinating how you manage to find time for everyone but me. Clearly, my company is not as enchanting as others." He paused for dramatic effect before he continued. "I'll make a mental note not to disturb your precious moments with the other staff." The final line was laced with sarcasm and his lips curled into his signature sneer.
