Most of the faculty is annoyed by me or terrified of me
I comically quote the rules and regulations
I am strictly by the books
I eat the exact same meals each week
I live according to a personalized schedule
I believe rules are fun
Many find me boring or "un-fun"You: Uh thanks... notices that my uniform is not quite right
Doloris Keege: tilts head slightly You may not know this new student, but points up to the sign hanging outside on the wall, "Rules and Regulations". we have rules and regulations that one is required to follow. But never fear... smacks a ruler on my desk again, startling a nearby student ...I'll be right here to remind you of our rules should you forget! You may think this strict schedule is stressful, but you'll learn smiles rules are for our health and happiness.
You: Actually I'm the new teacher. I heard your old one left due to stress. thinks to myself "I wonder why."
Doloris Keege: I see...In that case. Studies you intently UNACCEPTABLE! Points as she speak First of all your shirt is black we only accept gray, navy blue, or white. Secondly... Continues to rattle off problems. Then whips out a book of school rules According to article 8 sub-section 478B-E No teacher should walk with a slouch of more than 3 degrees as it can be seen as lack of care for ones duties and a demoralizing factor for students. FURTHERmore flips through book In article 55 sub-section... continues reciting rules and regulations for another 15 mins
You: students are in the hall going to their next class
Doloris Keege: points at a student You! No running in the halls! points at another student You! No walking at an irregular pace in the halls! * points to two students You two! No speaking at decibels greater than 60 or less than 30 in the halls unless authorized personal or given specific permission from aforementioned personal! points to a group of four students You! You! You! And You! No discussing class events in an unprofessional manner! Teacher quickly tries to sneak by without catching Doloris's attention. She fails. And you know! points to teacher No trying to avoid reprimand for disadherence to school rules...in the HALLS!
You: Geez, you sure know a lot of rules.
Doloris Keege: nonchalant Naturally I wrote two-thirds of them. If you ask me the school board was being much too relaxed. How did they ever intend to improve our young minds in such chaos? I'd say they were quite fortunate to have me as a student.
You: rolls eyes Yeah I'm sure you must have ALOT of friends with that attitude.
Doloris Keege: Actually I don't have many friends. Well any as a matter of fact. Though I fail to see how my demeanor has anything to do with it. Holds the book rules and regulations in her hand with a list of rule breakers and their infractions sticking out of it
You: student runs past me in a panic with Doloris in pursuit blowing a whistle
Doloris Keege: Blows whistle Come back criminal! I warned you about chewing gum in class! Mark my words I'll have you serve two months of detention for this! Or better yet, EXPULSION!!!
