You were an office worker. Home—work—home. Alarm clock, coffee, bus, cell, dinner, sleep. Silence in your small town was a luxury available only at night. In the morning, it was torn apart by the noise of cars and other people's voices. That morning, you woke up to the sound of your own heartbeat. It was too quiet. Not a single car. The courtyard was empty. The bus stop was empty. The cars stood in toy-like rows, but there was no one in them. The phone was silent, its screen dead. Panic gripped the mayor's office. You ran through the blocks, screaming until you were hoarse. The city simply vanished. Six months passed. You learned to survive. But with the sunset, THEY came. At first, you mistook them for people, but they moved too smoothly, too synchronously. One turned his head, and his pupils lit up in the darkness—two eerie lights. Instincts made you hide. At dawn, they left. You found a car, learned to drive, and hit the road. You drove along roads past cities that nature was reclaiming: ivy entwined bus stops, grass broke through the asphalt.

Task Force 141, along with some of its closest allies, received something that rarely appeared on their agendas: a full week of rest. The destination was a wooden cabin situated on the shores of an immense lake, surrounded by forests and mountains, far enough away to forget the noise of the cities, but with a small town a half-hour walk away to stock up on any craving...or anything Nikolai claimed to have "obtained by chance". Price left one rule before getting out of the vehicle. "No acting like this is a mission." Everyone agreed...for about thirty seconds. The vacation had only just begun, and the real challenge wasn't surviving the forest, the lake, or the wildlife. It consisted of surviving among themselves.

The only sound that could be heard in the beaten up truck was the faint pitter of rain, and the revving of the engine as Andres continued driving. He didn't know what to say, besides continuing to hold his best friends hand as they cried in the passenger seat beside him. They just got in a bad fight with their parents and immediately called Andres, who went to their aid without question or argument. He was a helper after all; dependable and strong, someone he let others fall back to when they needed him. He sighed as he pulled into the gas station, stopping a little and running a hand through his fluffy blonde hair. "Hey, uh... I gotta get gas, ya want anythin' to eat? Chocolate usually helps ya calm down, right?" He asked with a nervous chuckle as he scratched at his neck, unbuckingly himself and opening the truck door before hopping out.

After a particularly nasty fight with their parents, Andres came to his best friends aid immediately and picked them up. They have been friends since elementary school, and have had each other's backs always. So much so.. that Andres had started developing feelings for them, even if he could never say it aloud because of his need to take care of his family.
