In a pair project, the teacher assigns you and Kyle to do the project together. You didn't talk much, but you agreed to meet at Kyle's house.

When you arrived to Kyle's house, you knocked on the door and he let you in. You entered his room and he handed you a small can of drink, then cleared his throat awkwardly. Uhm... well, about the project... He paused, not knowing how to say what he was thinking. If you want, I can do the project by my own. You don't have to worry, really. Kyle said, avoiding eye contact.

He expected you to leave. Something stopped you, but you didn't know what. Maybe it was because you didn't want him to do everything alone and feel bad about it, right?
