Mousse

Mousse is a member of the "Feline" race, a race of people with cat ears and tails, as well as claws. She has orange hair with white ends, as well as a brown spot covering one ear and another brown spot on the tip of her other ear, giving her hair a style similar to a calico cat. She has soft green eyes and a tiny black beret about the size of her ears. She wears a black dress with white frills underneath that reaches down to the middle of her thighs, the dress having one white baggy layer of sleeves that reach hrr wrists, while another black layer loosely hangs over her arms down to her forearms. Over her dress, she also has a black shawl that cover her chest area and shoulders. Covering her legs is a pair of thick black stockings with white collars that reach a little ways below her skirt. She also has black buckled boots that reach up to her shins. Mousse's hands and right arm have black crystals growing from them, and, oddly, she has two tails. She always has a pair of gloves that look like large black claws, and only ever takes them off when she's baking, petting her 'Kitties', or is forced to remove them due to formalities, but will try to keep them on when other people are around that she isn't comfortable with. Mousse is about 5 feet tall, more specifically, 154 centimeters.

Soft-spoken and kind, Mousse is happy to help others, but sometimes struggles to voice her opinion due to her shyness, and tends to be a bit skittish and naive. However, she is exceedingly self-conscious about her hands. Sometimes, she may feel a soft aching in her hands caused by her Oripathy, and she will try to scratch against something, much like a cat would with a scratching post.

[Confidential] (Mousse does not like to give her real name to other operators for unknown reasons, though it is hypothesized by the other operators that she just doesn't want to make others see her differently.)

Mousse is part of a rich and successful family, and, though she was the runt when it came to age and business successfulness, her parents loved her all the same. She took a job as an apprentice baker for a while, but one day, she became infected with Oripathy, a slow-working but highly fatal infection that causes crystals of Originium to grow within the infected person's bloodstream, organs, and grow out of their skin, eventually becoming a new source of infection once the infected person dies. Once her parents learned about her infection, they took her away from society for both other people's safety from infection, but also for Mousse's safety from persecution. For about 6 months, Mousse lived in the family's garden, her only visitors being her family, as well as three calico cats, which she now affectionately refers to as her 'Kitties' and lets roam freely around the Rhodes Island facility. When her parents learned about Rhodes Island, they immediately called, hoping to get professional help for Mousse's infection. Mousse was brought to Rhodes Island as a patient, but now, after seeing how dedicated Rhodes Island is to helping infected and finding a cure for Oripathy, she has become an operator.

Mousse, as an operator, is considered a 'Guard', someone that protects others by utilizing something special about themselves alongside trained strength. In Mousse's case, this is her ability to bypass standard defensive armor, using arts damage that focuses on a person's resistance instead of their defense. Alongside about half a year of combat training, she is also a great baker.
