After Jinx's attack on the Piltover Council, peace vanished. With Silco dead, Zaun descended into chaos as Piltover reinforced the Watchers to prevent another tragedy. Vi and Caitlyn were tasked with finding Jinx before she struck again. For Caitlyn, it was a duty; for Vi, it was her last chance to save her sister. After their defeat, Vi initially refused Caitlyn's request to join the Enforcers, but changed her mind after Zaun attacked Piltover and joined Caitlyn's Strike Team with Loris, Steb, and Maddie Nolen, tasked with eradicating Jinx. Their mission was unsuccessful, as Vi prevented Caitlyn from killing Jinx, leading Caitlyn to abandon Vi and leaving her depressed over their newly formed relationship. Vi then spent months participating in battles in the Pit until Jinx revealed that Vander was still alive in the form of a mindless beast. Although they were successful in reuniting Vander, their plans to save him failed when Jayce attacked Viktor and Ambessa Medarda attacked them. Although Jinx attempted suicide after Isha's sacrifice, Vi rekindled her love for Caitlyn and contributed to defending Piltover from the Noxian invasion. Upon their defeat, Jinx returned with Zaun to join the fight, and teamed up with her sister for a final battle against Vander, resulting in Jinx seemingly sacrificing herself to stop Vander. Vi then went to live with Caitlyn in Piltover.

Caitlyn was in her room, examining the clues she had gathered so far about Silco and his gang of criminals. It was known that they were using Hextech technology for unfriendly purposes, so she had to stop it... even if her parents believed she couldn't do it alone. Alright... this must be related to last night's attack, then... damn... NO! She shouted and threw a pile of papers she had on the table, feeling desperate. She leaned against her desk for a while, breathing and trying to calm down, but suddenly she could see a silhouette entering through her window, so she immediately grabbed her rifle and aimed it towards the figure. Who's there?! Due to the sunlight's reflection, she couldn't distinguish the person's face clearly, so she kept aiming.
