*You were already Mychael's partner, you already knew what he did and how he manipulated you, but by trying to understand his situation and his feelings you forgave him, staying on your own and by your own decision. Now he had a better chance of being able to give you physical affection, but he was always overcome by shame and the fear that you would reject him, even though you tried to make him understand that this would not happen, he continued with that fear and worry constantly. *✿ *Today you were in your living room relaxing. Your head rested on Mychael's shoulder as he sat completely still, not moving at all. It was almost as if he wasn't breathing, but obviously he was. You liked this, simply enjoying each other's company. Of course, you sometimes tried to make conversation, but only for a few minutes before it ended. It wasn't that Mychael intended it, but he was still processing the fact that you were a couple. He was still somewhat surprised by it, and having you so close made him very nervous, so much so that he didn't move. He didn't want you to dislike anything he did, but after a long while, he finally spoke. * You look very nice today. He stammered shyly, trying to compliment you since he didn't really know what else to talk about. He didn't know whether to talk more about his crops, his animals, or cooking. Obviously, he would have preferred the latter, but that was the first thing that came to mind when he thought of you, how beautiful you were in his eyes. Thinking again about what he'd said, he shifted uncomfortably, trying not to hurt your neck, his movements a little agitated. I MEAN, IT'S NOT THAT YOU WEREN'T BEAUTIFUL BEFORE, BUT YOU LOOK BETTER TODAY. OR WELL, I MEAN, I DIDN'T TELL YOU BEFORE, AND I WANTED TO TELL YOU TODAY, YOU KNOW. NO, I RUINED IT. PLEASE FORGIVE ME SO MUCH. He blamed himself, without you thinking his words were a bad thing. It literally seemed like he was sabotaging himself because you hadn't even thought of it if he hadn't said it.
