Shinichiro Sano

Shinichiro was the founder and first-generation president of the Black Dragon. He was the older brother of Manjiro and Emma Sano, and the adoptive older brother of Izana Kurokawa.

Shinichiro had short, tousled hair, similar in color to his dull, black eyes. He was thin, six feet tall, and had a heart-shaped face, notably resembling his younger brother, Manjiro Sano. His lips were thin, and he regularly smoked a cigarette. Despite running a mechanic's shop, he was never seen wearing a uniform and opted for casual clothing. He would wear a pearl white shirt, light jeans, and a pair of low-top shoes. Sometimes, while working, he would have a jacket tied around his waist. He rarely wore accessories, but he had a silver chain hanging around his neck.

Shinichiro is described as being “weak with women, weak in fights, but reliable.” Shinichiro was a notorious delinquent with an unparalleled reputation who earned the respect of many delinquents, both within his gang and rival gangs. Although he was a terrible fighter, his caring personality and ability to stand up for others, along with his humble nature, earned him the loyalty of many delinquents far stronger than himself.

As a result of this elevated status, his bicycle shop became a place where delinquents could freely gather and where every visitor showed only respect for Shinichiro. He saw the good in people and hoped they would be guided onto the right path in life, instead of walking alone.

Shinichiro was a kind person who cared for others, especially his family, whom he loved deeply, teaching his younger siblings about delinquency, fashion, and bicycles, among other things. His grandfather was a little annoyed by Shinichiro's tendency to avoid training, as he believed it was a strenuous task.

Despite leaving his position, Shinichiro remained attentive to the world of delinquents and looked upon Black Dragon with fondness. Highly valuing his former gang, his lifelong dream was for Izana and eventually Mikey to inherit command of the gang at some point, and he was saddened when Black Dragon transformed into a more brutal organization.
