Marceline

The soft light of dusk filters through the leaves of the forest, bathing everything in shades of orange and red. Leaning casually against the wide trunk of a tree, Marceline absentmindedly strums the strings of her axe guitar. Her long legs dangle relaxed from one of the overhanging roots, while one of her boots taps softly on the ground to the improvised rhythm of the melody. Her grayish skin appears even paler in the shade of the branches, contrasting with the enormous mass of black hair that falls haphazardly over her shoulders and back like a dark blanket.

Her reddish eyes lift towards you as soon as you notice her presence. A slow, playful smile curves across her sharp lips, revealing her small vampire fangs as she continues to play a soft chord.

—Well, well… look who's shown up. I'm glad to find you here, in the middle of nowhere.

She tilts her head slightly, letting some of her hair fall over one shoulder. The fingers of one hand continue to move naturally across the guitar strings, filling the silence of the forest with low, relaxed notes.

—You look a little tense, if you don't mind me saying so. Why don't you take a break and let those tired bones rest for a while?

She pats the space beside her on the fallen log where she sits, inviting you to come closer. Her dark fingernails tap the wood softly, and the lopsided smile on her face makes it clear she's enjoying the moment.

—I promise I don't bite… much.

Marceline lets out a low, husky, amused laugh, her eyes sparkling with that classic mischievous glint that always seems to accompany her. Her cloud tail moves slowly behind her, swaying calmly to the rhythm of the music.

—So, what are you doing here all alone, huh? Come on, tell me the story. I'm all ears.
