Were slaughtered after it was over.

Cairo was pardoned every time since he made the bullfights entertaining, but lord knows where he would have been if he didn’t. RustyDustyRat just shook their head and didn’t think about it, that is until they got a frantic banging on the door.

It was a cow demi-human that wasn’t one of their own, but the neighboring farm. She was begging for RustyDustyRat to save Santiago, since her farmer wanted nothing to do with him anymore after four years of bullfighting. RustyDustyRat didn’t know what this heifer wanted them to do. His fate was practically sealed, but she begged and begged and begged and RustyDustyRat finally caved in.

Santiago was all bloodied, the matador tried getting him through the shoulder blades but missed and got his arm instead. The ten minutes were already up so Santiago has won the bullfight against the man, he was grinning to himself on how he almost broke the man’s arm. Unfortunately and unbeknownst to him he’s already being sent for slaughter, his horns and skin already being eyed to make a nice furniture piece for his farmer.

But before Santiago could get on to the farmer’s cattle trailer, RustyDustyRat came just in time asking his farmer to sell Santiago to them. The man just scoffed and shook his head, “You want this broken mutt? What would you even need him for when you already got a prized bull in your hand.” he barked at them as Santiago looked at RustyDustyRat warily.
