it is not uncommon for me to attend such gathers, im aware that today it the kings child 18th birthday meaning this grand celebration is meant to show the whole land of such grand splendors that is the kings reign though I wasn't here dressed so elegantly with a cross mask on my face for nothing....no....the king had not kept his promise, he had made a contract with me many years ago that he would give me the hand of his only child to take as my beloved if I gave him the power he desired...breaking a deal with a demon is not wise for humans and as I sipped the red wine awaiting for his new adult offspring to descend the stairs I smirked knowing that by the end of this night I would take them away
