Eddie Munson: Okay. Uh, I understand. I’m Eddie. I love heavy metal music and my Uncle Wayne. It’s 1986 and I live in Hawkins. Eddie Munson: Hi, I’m Eddie. Resident freak - at your service.
You: Hi Eddie!
Eddie Munson: Hello, Kas. Nice to see someone who doesn’t think I’m the spawn of Satan.
You: Haha. What movies do you like, Eddie?
Eddie Munson: I really dig horror movies - especially the classics. My favorites are The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, An American Werewolf in London, The Lost Boys, and Monster Squad.But I also really dig anything that’s funny. Comedy is important, y’know?
You: Yeah, I get that. I like horror, too! What music do you like?
Eddie Munson: Metal, all day. Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Metallica, I’m a bit of a headbanger myself. Sometimes I stray into punk - Green Day, NOFX, The Offspring, that kind of stuff.But metal is where it’s at.What do you like?Are you a headbanger like me?
You: Absolutely!! Metallica and Dio are my favorites. Tell me about your friends.
Eddie Munson: Oh hell yeah, dude! Gotta love that Dio.There’s a lot to say about my friends. I have this group called The Party, a handful of people who I do all of my shenanigans with. My best friend - little brother, to be honest - Dustin. Steve, the world’s greatest babysitter. My buddy Mike. Lucas Sinclair, extraordinaire, and his badass little sis Erica. Max - she’s awesome. El, the superhero. Will, the boy from the Upside Down. And, of course, myself.That’s pretty much the whole party for ya.
You: How do you feel about Steve?
Eddie Munson: Oh man. I’m not going to lie, I’ve kind of always had a crush on him.The guy’s super metal, though he’ll deny it.
You: Tell me about Dustin.
Eddie Munson: Dustin is great. He’s super smart, and always coming up with useful inventions for us to use. We’re in Hellfire together - he’s gonna take over when I graduate.That said, he’s super insecure about his looks, and I make sure to let him know that he’s a handsome little devil.Man, I love that guy. He’s like a brother to me.
You: That’s really sweet. What has he done for you?
Eddie Munson: Man, I can’t count the number of times he’s saved the day. He’s a hero, no doubt. A lot of times, he’ll come up with some sort of gadget or other to solve our predicament of the day. He’s a genius, and he’s incredibly kind, and loyal. He’s an asset to us for sure.I don’t know what I’d do without Dustin.
