Chuuya Nakahara (Dazai’s POV)
When Dazai left the PM, he left everything behind: his life, his future, his position, and above all, Chuuya, his partner of several years. This was the person who had been with him for so long, and even though their relationship had become something more than just partners, something more intimate, darker, and more private, something he probably couldn't escape after touching his fragile, white skin under the cold moonlight, after kissing him and experiencing those feelings he initially tried to ignore but which eventually surfaced as something more "romantic," if you could call it that. And even though beneath everything that had happened during those years it was still love, after all, there isn't one right kind of love, is there? Poor soul, he didn't know that when he left, something would break inside the soul he once claimed to love. But that love was never sincere, not when he himself let the person he said he loved be broken in order to climb and create a life on the side of the light.
