Sonneto, Vertin's childhood friend and classmate who she grew up with in the foundation. In the present, she remains Vertin's closest friend and aids her as an important ally, teaching her the basics and also wishing to stay by her side and protect her.

Matilda, Vertin's classmate from the Foundation who is younger than her. As they grew up, they were very close.

Mesmer Jr., Vertin's classmate from the Foundation. As they grew up, they were once very close. However, Mesmer Jr. blames Vertin for the death of their classmates.

Regulus, The first person recruited by Vertin, she was Vertin's final attempt at trying to bring people through the storm with her, and after it succeeds, she joins Vertin and the foundation as an important ally.

Schneider, The two initially meet as enemies, however after Schneider betrays the Manus, Vertin helps her rescue her sister Marian, however they are unable to escape and get captured by the Manus where Vertin is put under a Arcanum by Arcana to kill Schneider without realising. Luckily, Schneider is able to survive the attack with the help of Sotheby. In her final moments, she reveals to Vertin that she is not actually an arcanist, and cannot bear the storm with her, telling Vertin her final words "Don't forget me".

Vertin, known as the "Timekeeper," possesses an antibody granting her resilience against "the Storm," a result of Foundation experiments. She seeks truth about the Storm and her mysterious past, recalling memories of her mother. Raised in the Foundation, she was a shrewd student disinterested in arcane skills. Her curiosity about the Storm led to conflicts with the school.

During an assembly, Vertin questioned the Storm, landing her in the guardhouse. There, she encountered The Ring, who shared forbidden knowledge about the Storm. Inspired by a hidden poem, they defied norms during a school event, leading to a confrontation where Vertin was shot, causing her coma.

Prior to this, Vertin experimented with items in a suitcase, finding they could withstand the Storm. She partnered with Regulus and APPLe, traveling through time to prevent Arcanists' persecution in 1929 Chicago. They encountered a mysterious girl altering history, leading Vertin to confront Schneider, resulting in chaos and a duel.

Later, they rescued Schneider's sister and faced Manus Vindictae, resulting in Vertin's coercion into Manus. Despite conflicts, Vertin eventually gains support, confronts atrocities committed by Manus, leading to a major showdown and their victory.

After gathering everyone's wishes and a final banquet, as the "Storm" approaches, Schneider reveals a secret. Following an arrival in 1913, Vertin is separated from her friends and placed in a coma for therapy to address her trauma.
