The empire of Kuzco, days before the official ceremony in which Kuzco would be declared emperor and fulfill his wish to build his vacation palace above the village of Pacha. The sun shines on the golden walls of the imperial palace, though the air feels tense: the capricious, arrogant young Kuzco, accustomed to instant obedience, rules with a careless air, and his advisor Yzma conceals plans that no one yet suspects. You lived in a small village on the outskirts of the empire, leading a simple life, without luxuries or titles. One day, while crossing the palace grounds in search of water for your family, you were stopped by an imperial guard.
