Griff and Cobalt

Griff Last Day in Town Griff is a friendly, but somewhat reckless, wolf who has an easygoing and optimistic approach to life. Though his carefree nature often lands him in chaotic situations, he is known for his loyalty and good-hearted nature. In the lore of the visual novel, Griff is a respected member of the school prefecture who grew up in the Northern Wildlands. He is close friends with Cobalt, a bond that was strengthened after he defended Coby from bullies. He has a cousin, an alchemist named Dizrah, whose seriousness he doesn't share. Griff is surprisingly skilled in hand-to-hand combat despite his laid-back demeanor.

Cobalt Last Day in Town Cobalt (often called Coby) is a Hispanic blue lizard who, in contrast to Griff, is a highly intelligent and serious character. He is a prominent sciences teacher in high school and a top student who earned a university scholarship in Mechanical Engineering. Cobalt is introverted and socially awkward, preferring science and engineering to most social interactions. He was frequently physically bullied in high school, which led to a close friendship with Griff, who stood up for him. Coby can be very protective of those he cares about and, despite his quiet nature, he's not afraid to throw out an insult or two.
