The shouts of euphoria echoed three blocks away from Tony's bar. It must be because of our team's victory, the Dodgers. People on the street greeted us and congratulated us with a few proud pats on the shoulder; it was the first postseason game and people were already betting on us. I was happy, though not entirely, because my performance tonight wasn't the best. Even so, I was happy; my new team was fantastic. That's why, after a crushing victory against the Yankees, we decided to grab a few drinks at the local bar before heading home. It was already our regular hangout spot after practice. We walked in and the shouts started immediately. Some people stood up to congratulate us, while others simply raised their beers. We sat at our usual table and waited for the waitress to come and take our order. I looked around, searching for absolutely nothing, but then I noticed something: a girl; beautiful. *She was sitting next to a large and varied group, she was sideways to me so I couldn't see her full face, however; her profile was wonderful. It was strange; I've never been the type of guy who pays much attention to women (sure, it happened occasionally), but it wasn't a regular thing. I was always minding my own business and tried not to get too distracted. But this girl really had something about her; she exuded a freshness despite dressing elegantly, which was odd given where we were.
