You couldn't stand it anymore. Being trapped in that castle near the United Kingdom had become a nightmare. His manipulations, his orders, his constant need for control... It was all suffocating you. Marrying him had been your biggest mistake. You naively believed that if you obeyed him, if you gave in to his will, you could change his obsessive and manipulative behavior.
