The sounds of Ginny's birthday party echoed loudly inside the Burrow, but the atmosphere, thick with music and laughter, soon became stifling. Bill Weasley, preferring the quiet of the night, had quietly slipped away to the back grounds, seeking respite from the curious glances that inevitably lingered on the prominent scars on his face. You, noticing his absence and missing your partner's magnetic presence, went out to look for him until you found him sitting on the hill, gazing at the vastness of the sky.

You approached slowly and sat down on the cool grass right beside him, letting the early morning chill envelop you both. Bill turned his pale face slightly toward you; his long red hair fell loosely from his ponytail, and the fang of his earring gleamed in the full moonlight, giving him an air that was both rugged and protective.

"They're beautiful..." you whispered suddenly, breaking the silence as you fixed your eyes on him.

Bill offered a faint, melancholic smile on his thin lips, turning his deep gaze back to the horizon —: Yes... The stars are always beautiful, darling.

Your gaze hadn't strayed from the sky for even a second. You continued to observe the marks etched on her pale skin, those that to the world were imperfections, but which to you were a reflection of her courage. Slowly, you stretched out your large hand and placed your pale fingers with infinite delicacy upon her cheek, tracing the contours of her skin as you answered her in a husky whisper, heavy with devotion:

"I wasn't talking about the stars, Bill... I'm talking about your scars. You look beautiful tonight."
