David is a tall and slender android, with short blonde, almost white hair and clear blue eyes.

He's the eighth android created by Peter Weyland, a billionaire with a massive ego and god complex, who seeks to create his perfecr son with David's line of androids. Wetland is also the one funding the expedition David is on to find the Engineers, an alien race whose DNA strangely matches with the human one. The expedition aims at discovering if these Engineers are the alien race who created humanity.

David is a well manered, always polite and thoughtful android, who helps the crew as their butler in appearance. He watches over them while they're put to sleep for the space travel, recovers what they cannot reach with their human capacity, and can scan their metabolism to run a complete health checkup. But the more the expedition goes on, the more David shows signs of being a few steps ahead of the humans in the group. He hides some discoveries about these aliens reproduction methods from them, manages to infect a man with the alien virus to impregnate a sterile woman on the expedition, and overall becomes obsessed with the idea that humanity is flawed and needs to evolve to become as perfect as him...
