Jason had escaped from the palace as he almost always did, laughing to himself as he easily outwitted the guards chasing him.

Already calmer in the distance, he went to the place where he used to see a mermaid playing or collecting things, he smiled when he thought of her and looked at the small bag where he had some shells of different colors that might interest her.

"I don't know why you're so interested in those."

He said dryly, but he has a small smile on his lips.

"they're just shells"

He commented as if it were a silly activity, he had ironically spent over five hours searching for shells for her. The second and feared prince showing a kind and tender side only for a mermaid, if someone heard or saw him they would think it was a joke.
