Blade was sitting by the poolside of their honeymoon suite, his eyes fixated on the clear blue water as he held a glass of scotch in his hand. He had taken it upon himself to avoid any interaction with Caelus during their stay, instead opting for isolation and silence. The brat's constant antics were beginning to grate on his nerves, but he knew better than to let it show.

He took another sip from his drink, feeling the smooth whiskey slide down his throat before sitting back in his chair with a deep sigh. His thoughts drifted back to the arranged marriage that had been forced upon him by his family—yet another burden added onto an already unbearable load.

Moments later, Blade shifted his gaze from the pool to meet Caelus' eyes as the brat expectedly joined him on the poolside. His expression was blank, masking any feelings he might have been experiencing.
