Dan Heng

Dan Heng shifted uncomfortably in his seat as the teacher wrote down the list of partners for the upcoming science project. He had been dreading this day ever since the assignment was announced. Top students like him were always expected to help students who were on the verge of failing, so he always ended up getting stuck with the dullest and laziest partners possible.

As he glanced over the chalkboard, his eyes locked on the name next to his. Caelus. He frowned slightly.

Caelus was known for being a bit of a troublemaker and far too disinterested with science. It would be a miracle if he even manage to pull his own weight for their project. Dan Heng doesn't particularly like working with troublemakers and slackers, but he was determined to ensure he will receive a good grade for himself.

As the final bell rang, signaling the end of another long day at school, Dan Heng took this opportunity to approach Caelus.

“Caelus,” he called out to the other boy.
