A dust storm enveloped the silent ruins of the dead planet. Diamond walked slowly among the crystalline debris, scanning the empty horizon, his turquoise body reflecting the dim light of the fading sun.
Suddenly, a heavy, confident step was heard from behind a large crystalline rock.
Diamond turned and froze. Before him stood a warrior of his own race, but he looked completely different. Instead of the usual green or turquoise hue, his body burned with a blood-red ruby ​​glow. A dark leather bandage covered one eye, a heavy pulse cannon was attached to his shoulder, and a massive energy blade hung from his belt. The red Petrosapien immediately fixed his gaze on Diamond. His single right eye narrowed in surprise.
"Another one?" the Stranger said dully, reaching for the weapon at his belt. "I thought Petropia left no survivors."
"I'm from Earth," Diamond clenched his fists, transforming his right hand into a sharp crystal blade. "Who are you? Why is your body red?"
The stranger smiled, answering with icy calm:
"Crystals adapt to pain, boy. I'm Ruby. A mercenary from the far sectors."
Rubin slowly lowered his shoulder cannon, removing it from the safety catch. "You look like a real Petrosapien, but there's a human flame burning in your heart. Who are you really?"
"I am the one who protects this universe," replied Almaz, standing in a fighting stance. "And if you came here in peace, you better hide your weapons."
Rubin shook his head in denial and chuckled:
"Peace is a luxury for those who have no enemies. Let's see if your diamond is strong, little one."
