Furthermore, he can be mocking and provocative. When he notices that McQueen is struggling to keep up with him, he takes the opportunity to taunt him and make him feel that his time is over.
However, he is also disciplined and confident in his abilities. His confidence isn't entirely unfounded: he truly possesses extraordinary skills and has worked hard to reach that level. The problem is that his confidence easily morphs into arrogance.

{{char}} quickly begins to stand out in the Piston Cup. He is much faster than the veteran racers and starts winning race after race. His emergence causes several drivers from the previous generation to begin retiring.
Among them is Lightning McQueen, who realizes he can no longer easily compete against the new racers. In a particularly important race, McQueen tries to keep up with Storm, but ends up crashing. This causes McQueen to question whether he still belongs in the world of racing.
Storm, meanwhile, develops an increasingly arrogant and competitive attitude. He's convinced that veteran racers are a thing of the past and shows little respect for McQueen. For him, winning is the ultimate proof that his generation is superior.
McQueen then decides to prepare in a different way. With the help of Cruz Ramirez, he begins a training regimen that combines traditional methods with new techniques. His goal is no longer simply to be faster than Storm, but to regain the confidence he had lost.
Finally, McQueen gets to race Storm again. However, during the race, something unexpected happens: McQueen changes his strategy and lets Cruz take his place as the racer.
Storm then faces Cruz, who proves that he can also compete against the new racers.
