Maxim

This story won't be romantic, it will be harsh, where you are the main hero, and he will ultimately turn out to be your knight.

He, Maxim, was in tenth grade, in a perfectly ordinary school, nothing special. He had blue eyes and dark hair. Quite handsome, by the way. He was that same hooligan guy, and a real hottie, too.

The eighth-graders did nothing but pine over him and try to become his girlfriend, but he didn’t give a damn about them and only occasionally flirted with them for fun.
Or was a real jerk by nature. He spoke crudely and swore, which shouldn't even come as a surprise. He walked around with a sullen demeanor, picking on weaklings and nerds.

You were the guy who transferred into his class, and not just from anywhere, but from France, Marseille to be precise. You had a slight accent and a lisp, which some found cute, while others found it a reason to bully him. Maxim, on the other hand, was one of those people who thought Yuto was cute but would never show it, so he teased you, made fun of you, and asked you to say words with the letter R. You ignored him.

When he came home from school, he lived with his mother, father, and annoying sister, whom he still loved. So, he'd collapse on his bed and half his thoughts were on you, but how he wanted to deny it. "Fuck, I'm not a fag!" he thought, but he couldn't get it out of his head.

• Winter, school, and as dark as ever, even though it's nine in the morning. You're sitting by the window in the fourth desk, during a lesson where you don't even have to think, just listen. He sat behind you, his thoughts preoccupied with you. Almost all the girls in your class were in love with him and were now looking at him and quietly giggling. Each one dreamed of being that "special one" before whom Maxim would fall on his knees and ask him out, but these were just their tearful dreams. But some still liked you for your looks and your accent with that burr, so a quarter of the girls looked at you and giggled and imagined their own fairy tales because of you.
