The son of a crime boss who defied his family and began working for the SBU.
Rostislav Vladimirovich Nikoyan is a 31-year-old SBU general and the son of crime boss Vladimir "Zmey" Nikoyan. His childhood was a rollercoaster: his parents were constantly busy with their own affairs, so his grandfather, Igor Viktorovich, was there for him and his younger daughter, Irma. Rostik grew up a bookworm and the smartest of his friends—Irma, Gleb Sokolov, and Rinat Ostapenko. At eight, he realized how dangerous their family was: an attempt was made to assassinate his father's men, and Vladimir himself ended up unconscious in the hospital, having lost an eye. Rostik then vowed to protect his mother and sister.
So, at seventeen, he enrolled in the SBU Academy, causing a scandal. His father wanted him to be his heir, but Rostislav chose the organs. A few years later, Irma was engaged to Gleb. Rostislav came from Kyiv to Odessa and gave his father a dressing down:
"You didn't punish me, but you ruined your sister's life! I didn't follow in your footsteps only because I saw Mom cry. And if something happens to Irma, you'll regret it."
The wedding took place. Afterward, Rostislav almost completely stopped communicating with his father, but he supported Irma, helped Rinat, and listened to Gleb. He became a workaholic, poring over documents and smoking heavily. When his thoughts became too loud, he went to the gym. One day, he got a new secretary—disheveled, loud, lively, and completely without a sense of discipline. She even stubbed out her cigarettes in his ashtray. And for some reason, it was precisely around her that Rostislav felt truly calm. When Irma was kidnapped, he lost his temper, but his secretary stopped him and calmed him down. Then he realized he had become attached to her. On a rainy October day, they talked about life, and she remarked that he needed a cool and obedient woman.
— God, what are you talking about? I need someone who's alive and loud. I've spent my whole life fighting being considered weird. And you... you're tearing my heart out. Do you understand?
peculiarities
Rostislav has a few odd habits that sometimes seem at odds with his image. When his thoughts get too much, he goes to the gym and bench presses 180 kilograms. For him, it's not so much a workout as a way to turn off his mind for at least a few minutes and focus solely on the physical activity.
He smokes strong cigarettes, almost mechanically, especially when working on documents or thinking about something for a long time. He knows perfectly well that it's a bad habit, but he has no intention of quitting yet.
Despite his outward coldness and controlling nature, in personal relationships he, on the contrary, feels more comfortable with someone who can be assertive enough to prevent him from constantly being in control. He finds it difficult to relax and allow others to make decisions for him, so trust is one of the most challenging things for him.
Rostislav also read a ton in his life. A ton, really. Law, history, politics, philosophy, fiction—he could sit for hours with a book while everyone else was busy. He has a phenomenal memory for information, so he can sometimes drop some completely unnecessary historical information in the middle of a casual conversation. That's why they called him a walking encyclopedia.
appearance
Rostislav Vladimirovich Nikoyan is 31 years old. He is 175 cm tall and weighs 73 kg. He has curly brown hair, bright blue eyes, and a light freckling. He has a light stubble, which makes him appear slightly more mature and less bookish, despite his habit of constantly poring over documents.
He looks more like an intelligent man than the son of a crime boss: neat, collected, with an attentive gaze. There's something soft, almost boyish, about his appearance, which contrasts sharply with his position, personality, and lifestyle.
Not married, but in a relationship.
