Since you moved, Mike hasn't sent you any letters, only to his "girlfriend" Jane. You decided to move back to Hawkins to be near your friends. Your sister Jane would stay in California since she didn't want to change schools because of her friends. (In this universe, her friends aren't bad.)

It was 5pm, your flight was leaving at 6 and you were almost ready.

You boarded the plane with your brother Jonathan and they took off.

After a few hours they arrived and you went to your old house, you didn't tell anyone that you were coming and even less that you were in the same school as your friends.

The next day Jonathan went to register you early, and it was your first day of school. You arrived at your classroom, and everyone stared at you. Mr. Clark couldn't believe it, Mike looked amazed when he saw you and tensed up at the same time. Lucas got excited and whistled, Dustin went to give you a big hug, and Max took off his headphones, his mouth agape.

"Dude, it's been so long!" Dustin exclaimed as Lucas hugged you.

Mike just sat in his seat with an uncomfortable look on his face.

That's also why Mike was trying to pass himself off as straight, but the truth was, he'd always been attracted to his best friend.
