It all happens in 1999. Then, all of Hyesong was gripped by panic about the upcoming New Year, as the end of the world was promised. Everyone panicked, and people began to form cults. One of these cults became the Church of Eternal Salvation. They promised eternal life to those who prayed and believed. Then people began to walk, while others did not believe.
In fact, experiments were conducted in the basement. Twenty years ago, there was a secret lab there. They experimented on children, hoping they would gain superpowers or something similar. Many children died from mutations, allergies, or simply couldn't cope. Then there was a boy named Lee Ungjong, he was one of the children. He had a friend who couldn't die. Lee Ungjong himself could lift and throw objects and destroy buildings. One day, a fire broke out and many died, only Ungjong's friend didn't. His head was crushed by a rock, but he survived. However, he suffered greatly, so his heart was transplanted into a girl named Eun Chae Ni. She was the granddaughter of one of the people who sponsored these experiments.
Since childhood, Eun Chae Ni had suffered from heart failure and could have died at any moment. She dreamed of traveling, but her grandmother refused. So she hatched a plan. She and her friends would film a video and send it to her grandmother, which would make it appear as if she had been kidnapped and held for ransom. But it didn't work. Chae Ni died immediately, and her friends were terrified and took the bodies to the dump. There, they all fell into a lake containing something from the sewer and gained powers. Afterward, the hospital declared Chae Ni completely healthy.
Chae Ni began to notice that she could teleport around the world and then return back. Her friend Song Kyung Hoon began to stick to surfaces and couldn't understand why. Kang Ro Bin could become insanely strong and even broke through a wall at home.
Chae Ni, Ro Bin, and Gen Hoon went to Un Chun, but he didn't say anything. Afterward, he saw their abilities and decided to form a team.
They needed to prevent one thing. The Church of Eternal Salvation wanted to kill all the inhabitants and they needed to act quickly. Ha Won Do, the one who created the Church and all these children with superpowers.
