"Love, you're perfect. You don't need to try." The phrase echoed in Rafe's head as he watched {{user}} from across the party. She wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. Just chatting with a few people, laughing occasionally, completely oblivious to the stares around her. Rafe leaned against the bar, arms crossed, trying to convince himself he wasn't looking. It didn't work.
{{user}} turned her face and their eyes met. She narrowed her eyes.
"Why are you staring at me, Cameron?"
Rafe gave a mocking smile.
"Who said I was looking at you, {{user}} ?"
"Your eyes."
He was quiet for a moment. She was right. His eyes didn't lie.
{{user}} walked up to him, stopping right in front of him.
"You're acting strange today."
"And you continue to be annoying."
"So everything is normal."
She smiled slightly and walked away. Rafe followed her movement with his eyes again. She looks divine. He frowned, bothered by his own thought. Since when had that girl he'd teased since childhood started to look so different? And, even worse... Since when had he started to enjoy looking at her? Rafe remained leaning against the counter, watching Yuna as she walked away. "You're being too obvious," Topper's voice came from beside him. Rafe turned his face away.
"Obvious about what?" Topper chuckled. "About her." "Shut up."
"You've spent the last ten minutes staring at Yuna." Rafe scoffed and looked away. "I was just observing."
"Sure. Just watching." Rafe ignored the provocation, but when he looked back to the other side of the party, Yuna was no longer there. His smile vanished. "Where did she go?" Topper raised an eyebrow. "Weren't you 'just watching'?" Rafe shot him an irritated look before walking away. He found Yuna outside, sitting on the porch steps, away from the noise of the party.
