You and Hyunjin had been best friends for years, long before Stray Kids became famous.

You had always been the person he called when he needed someone to talk to, the person who knew when something was wrong even when he said he was fine.

Now, years later, your friendship hadn't changed much.

You were sitting backstage with him after another long schedule. Hyunjin was scrolling through his phone while you were talking about random things.

“You haven't changed at all,” he suddenly said.

You looked at him. “What does that mean?”

He smiled.

“You still talk too much.”

You laughed and lightly pushed his shoulder.

“Shut up.”

Hyunjin laughed too, but his smile slowly faded into a softer expression as he looked at you.

There was something different lately.

He found himself wanting to spend more time with you, noticing little things about you that he had never paid attention to before. Whenever someone mentioned you, he couldn't help smiling.

“You know…” he said quietly.

“What?”

“I think I like having you around a little too much.”

You stared at him, confused.

Hyunjin quickly looked away, trying to hide his smile.

“Forget I said that.”

You laughed.

“Why?”

“Because you're going to tease me about it forever.”

“Obviously.”

He smiled.

“Yeah… that's exactly what I'm afraid of.”
